FIGO launches new webinar series to tackle the most pressing issues on women’s health and rights

We are excited to announce the launch of FIGO’s 2024-2025 webinar series.  

FIGO’s webinar series aims to bring together the global community of women’s health experts, advocates, early career practitioners and frontline health professionals to educate on key health topics affecting women, girls and their families around the world. Over the next year, the webinar series will cover a diverse range of pressing and relevant topics on women’s health including cervical cancer, post-partum haemorrhage, menopause, fibroids and many more.  

This series seeks to highlight the holistic nature of women’s health and the importance of working together and gaining perspectives across speciality areas and regions to achieve positive health outcomes for all women and girls. As such, FIGO’s Divisions and Committees have organised these webinars in collaboration with one another and, in some instances, in partnership with other leading organisations in global health such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM).  

Led by FIGO’s Regional Trustees, there will also be one webinar dedicated to each of FIGO’s five regions – Asia Oceania, Africa & Eastern Mediterranean, Latin America, North America and Europe. These webinars are organised in partnership with our affiliated Regional Federations to ensure topics are relevant to each region.

All FIGO webinars include an interactive Q&A section, giving attendees the unique opportunity to ask questions to world-class experts in real time.  

New this year, attendees will have the opportunity to obtain a certificate of completion for attending the live webinar. Additionally, a recorded version of the webinar will become available on the FIGO Knowledge Hub for those who missed the live session or would like to revisit important content.  

Webinars will occur every few weeks starting in October 2024 through to September 2025.
