Postpartum pelvic floor disorders are very common negative outcomes of pregnancy and childbirth, affecting millions of women every year. Pelvic floor disorders present as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, faecal incontinence and/or pelvic pain. Investigation of these issues during the postpartum period is often neglected, leading to undue distress on new mothers.
Led by the FIGO Committee on Urogynaecology and Pelvic Floor Disorders, this webinar will equip health professionals with knowledge and skills to initiate meaningful conversations with patients, identify postpartum pelvic floor disorders and commence early management strategies. These insights will help clinicians address complex pelvic issues with new parents, leading to improved postpartum experiences and overall wellbeing for women and their families.
